"Sister Erlebach and I made a goal this week to really put our hearts and souls into the work. I mean we have been being obedient and doing all the missionary things, but we weren't fully invested. We noticed that we weren't having success because we didn't have the right attitudes. We would begrudgingly go tracting, but we were going tracting so we were doing our best right? Wrong. We would half heartedly text or call less actives, so we were helping them feel loved and have a desire to come back to church weren't we? No. I mean don't get me wrong, we weren't being terrible missionaries, but we weren't being our best either. So we made a real effort to be missionaries instead of sisters doing missionary things. It has been amazing to see the transformation in us! We have the spirit with us more than before. We are happier. We have more energy. We have a DESIRE to go tracting (even though we still don't like it). We are stopping by less actives' houses. We are building relationships of trust and love with our investigators. I think this week is the first week that I've really wanted to be here instead of counting down till August 2013. I am so grateful for the Lord and His patience. He is just waiting to pour out blessings upon us, all we have to do is ask."
That right there is the best of the best. That is why I love getting her letters every week. Because I feel the spirit so strong when she bears her testimony. She's loving the work, and she's especially loving all of the people. Her entire letter was about her investigators this week, how much she loved them, and could see them progressing. She's teaching so much and she is doing so well! As you can see for yourself, she's caught the missionary bug. She can't control how much she loves to teach and share the gospel. That makes it all worth while.
