Wendy's Bosom Buddies

Good thing I have a super splendid fam! Would you like to know why so splendid? Well clearly I am about to tell you...

So this last year my Aunt Wendy was diagnosed with breast cancer. She is a champion fighter and thus far she is doing just swell, but I still wanted to do something to show my love and support. This little brain of mine got cooking and came up with this.

I got real excited and emailed everyone. Lucky for me, they got excited too! Uncle John took my idea and ran with it, quite literally. He had team shirts made and handled all the logistics. Our team consisted of the Morris and Hyde clans. "Wendy's Bosom Buddies" was able to raise $2,000 for breast cancer research.

Race for the Cure is quite the big deal. I didn't even know how big. But Saturday May 7 we all woke up bright and early to run along side 30,000 other people in hope of making a difference.

That sea of pink and white are all participants. Talk about a lot of people!

It was a wonderful day! I'm so happy I have a good family who loves and supports each other. Plus we were very entertained by the team names and costumes. My personal favorite: Team "Stop the War in My Rack" Oh so clever.

Haha so dear family of mine, thank you for going along with my idea. I hope you had as much fun as I did. And Wendy and Claire, we love you! I'm glad we could run for you! Let's do it again next year shall we? Mmkay!
