Shout Out to My Brothers of 49!

19 years of life I have lived lacking anyone that fit the title of brother. Now suddenly there are 6 persons occupying that position. They are the embodiment of what I imagined brothers would be like. They tease me and persuade me to eat grotesque inventions also known as Jujyfruit. They teach me the art of spit wadding. They make me laugh. They teach me fun facts about Disneyland. They are good examples of healthy sleeping habits. And I love them. So Mr.'s Grant, Berg, Laird, Kimball, Hawkes, and Gregory, mock me to your heart's content but you love me too. And I hope you're happy that I'm not yet doing my homework because I would hate to defy your expectations.

Now that that's out of the way, I shall proceed with my sporadic and seemingly pointless thoughts. In hopes that my life documentation inspires Cameron to write in his journal tonight. Or maybe blogging is merely a cover for my procrastination. Either way.

There is a place I go. It is called job. Many of you are familiar with this practice. And I bet that this same many of you dislike job. Am I right? Well today I was paying job a visit and I was uncharacteristically chipper. Boss noticed my high spirits. "You're very happy today," said he, "did you get a boyfriend?" No DeeVon, I absolutely have no boyfriend. I'm just happy. Sometimes it just happens for no reason in particular. Happiness is a choice not a consequence.

Today started out happy. Because I wanted it so. And all day the happiness level kept climbing. A little UV radiation, the prettiness of fall, sneaky roommates and mail, trivia at FHE, and something caramely in nature. All combined to ward off that beastly plague of Mondays.

Not so sneaky Anna tried to convince me that Mr. Postman failed. I was not swayed. Although the envelope behind her back trick was quite sly. Needless to say, I got a letter. And it was a good one, clearly.

My apartment smells like a Caribbean Christmas. Lindsey's Scentsy is making my senses go crazy! Sometimes we smell pineapple, but move one step and it's pine trees and cinnamon. There is definitely something piney about this aroma. Just in case you were wondering...

Oh and welcome November, I look forward to all the yumminess you bring. My life is most excellent!

P.S. Today in Lit, Miss Teddi said I can write and that she read my blog. That kinda sorta maybe a little makes me uber pleased!
