Look at this awesome thing we got in our e-mails! -------->
Dear Hyde and Facer Families,
We hosted your daughters as part of our family's Thanksgiving day festivities, and then again the next evening, Friday night. We are long overdue in sending you both a note of thanks for having raised daughters of such remarkable spiritual quality; their work in our ward has been both inspiring and a revelation. We cannot take the place of home and family during the holiday season, but we'll do our best to help them know that they are appreciated and loved beyond mere words.
At a zone conference many years ago, a mission president acquaintance admonished the missionaries to "Go out and be the missionary that your mother thinks you are." To some, this might seem like a light-hearted statement but when I heard this I knew exactly what he meant: mothers think that their missionary children are exceedingly righteous, hardest-working, diligent and wonderfully obedient. To be the missionary that your mother thinks you are, one has to work HARD.
Sisters Hyde and Facer are every bit the missionaries that their mothers (and dads, and families) think they are.
