Zach, You Got Your Hero Moment

As of late my posts have become more and more lengthy. Consisting of this is what I did this weekend. Sad but accurate. I've boiled this down to 2 simple truths. My weekdays are tragically monotonous and severely lack blog worthy inspiration. And in contrast my weekends are so epically marvelous that the 9 followers of this blog most assuredly must read about them! Or more likely the author, me, feels a pathetic urge to document them. But I tire of long posts. So instead of an insipid day by day synopsis you get 2 stories.

First of all A:

Sometime between Friday and Saturday we watched Leap Year and Declan O'Callhan is just too good looking. We were hyper. And perhaps a little giddy. So we hopped in Penelope and drove. And after a little out of gas mishap, we made it to Idaho. Isn't that what most girls do? Watch a chick flick, fall in love with a fictional character, drive to the state line and recreate a completely separate chick flick. No? Oh... well we did.

I wish I was Jamie Sullivan. So I could dance in the moonlight, straddle the state line, and be in two places at once. Wait... I think I am Jamie Sullivan. Words fail to describe the complete epicness of the said night. Thus the true grandeur of the adventure will only be known by the girls of 47. It was the epitome of Anna's life.

Second of all B:

If there is one thing we dwellers of apartment 47 could work on, it would be automobile maintenance. Yes Linds Bins got stranded in Sardine Canyon. The call for help came around 11:15 pm. So Anna and I headed to her rescue. Unsure what assistance we could offer, seeing as we know nothing about cars. But we went. Thankfully Freddy called Anna and through the course of 20 minutes and three way calls we discovered the problem. And therefore the solution. Zach and Freddy didn't hesitate. They stopped at Wal-Mart. Got a gas can. Filled it up and came to our aid. How many out of gas experiences can one weekend hold?

The previous night Zach had been telling me of his almost hero moment taking a turn for the worst and ending in a hospital visit. Well Zach and Freddy earned some serious hero points in my eyes. And Zach hit a cat. Prayer rug and lumber jack, I sure love those boys!

Another great weekend in this life of mine. Is it Friday yet?
