Waiting

Airports are loud. And contain strange smells. Sometimes even stranger people. I am currently sitting in such a place. Prime for people watching. I wish Sarah were here to analyze these gems with me. It is one of our favorite pastimes. Speaking of passing time... I'm trying to find ways to do just that. My flight got delayed. 2.5 hours actually. So I have to wait 90 minutes to get on an airplane and wait 10 something hours to fly to Tokyo. I will most likely get stuck in Tokyo because my connecting flight to Singapore leaves 15 minutes before I get there. 15 minutes. So maybe I'll be spending the weekend in Japan. That might be cool. A little bonus adventure. Lucky for me a Japanese family is sitting directly across from me. I learned that they read backwards. Of course I knew this, but that is the sort of thing you forget until it is happening in front of you in an airport terminal. I have a feeling this trip is going to be more about the voyage and less about the destination. It's off to a promising start.
