I've decided being 19 is rough, but I'm so glad I'm a girl. Being a 19 year old boy would be way rougher. Leaving your home for two years with only letters and email as your connection to family. Wow. I admire these boys for sacrificing so much. They really are guaranteed the best two years of their lives if they are obedient. I'm a little jealous.
Today I got a letter from a dashing young elder and it made my day! I hadn't heard from him for a while. My roommate came in with a mischievous little smile. "Ann Marie there's something in the mailbox for you..." Immediately I got excited. I asked if it looked like a letter from a missionary and she said it was. YES! I grabbed the mail key and it was all I could to do walk instead of run to the Lundstrom. I really wanted to sing the mail time song, but Sarah wasn't there and I would feel dumb doing it by myself so instead I just ripped open that envelope that came to me all the way from England.
He's great. So focused and happy! Which makes me so happy! I love hearing how he is doing. 4 baptisms set :) That sounds pretty darn good to me! I wish I got a letter every day because they're just so positive. Elder Holman keep em coming!
Yesterday I got some missionary mail too. Kind of. It got sent to my house seeing as my school address was unknown. So I have one, I just have to wait a couple days. I’m just pleased that he wrote because this elder and I had a bit of a rough patch before his mish. It was all fixed and great before he left, but I still didn’t expect to hear from him. I’m extremely curious to see what message that envelope contains! Missionaries. They're so fantastic.
