My beautiful older sister is having a baby. In approximately 7 weeks I will be an aunt for the first time! I have already decided I will be the favorite aunt. One problem. Her child already hates me. Last night all I wanted was to feel the kid kick! So there I sat with my hand on her belly. Waiting and waiting for little baby Stephens to give me some proof that she was in there. She would not! As long as my hand was there, baby didn't move. But you bet as soon as I moved my hand she wiggled to her heart's content. I would get excited and put my hand back on that pregnant stomach, and nothing. She would stop moving as soon as my hand was in place. Fun game? No! Don't worry I'm not giving up. I will win her over and be the Disneyland aunt!
So today was the baby shower. So much pink! Cuddly soft blankets, frilly dresses, and teensy socks. I love babies! We had yummy food and debated the best name. I suggested she be named after her favorite aunt - Ann Marie, but for some reason Kellie wasn't a fan of that idea. So the options are Evelynn (Evie for short) and Annalee. Personally I'm fan of Annalee. Its pretty similar to my name. Whatever her name is, I'm just excited for her to get here! Don't be late little Annalee, I can't wait to meet you :)

ReplyDeleteI would like to remind you that you will have to be the second favorite aunt. I have already claimed rights as the Disneyland aunt (which came as a standard with the title Disneyland sister). I will not be relinquishing the title any time soon and wanted to give you notice that you will not be able to gain this title. Second place is not so bad (at least you won't be the least favorite...you have 3 others sisters behind you).
