Awkward:
- Elder Richins jumping out and scaring us 3 times in like 5 minutes, and we fell for it every time! He can do a sick Golem impression.
- This punk kid asking us why we weren't at high school in the middle of the day. Good thing we're 21 and 22 and look like we're 16.
- Felt like we were in Mexico because for like half an hour everyone we contacted only spoke Spanish.
- Ran into Jehovah's Witnesses and Baptists the same day. They both gave us pamphlets which was nice of them.
- We couldn't tell if an old guy was motioning for us to go at the crosswalk or if he was swatting flies. Turns out he wanted us to go.
- There is a giant chicken in someone's yard with a Frankenstein mask on it's head.
- Knocking doors 4 strong with the APs. I was so nervous like I was being evaluated, but it turned out great.
- We did a free car wash with church tours for Rohnert Park's finding activity. After we washed his car this guy gave me $20. I didn't know what to do with it and no one else would take it, so I just donated it to the church.
- Mia asking if the APs were our husbands.
- I asked a guy if he believes in God and he said, "I believe in something. I believe in giving you my number and hoping you call me." Yeah that's not gonna work out...
Awesome:
- Racing the Elders home every night. Not awesome that we always lose.
- Elder Johnson and Elder Sivley gave us a box of animal crackers with Deuteronomy 14:3 attached.
- Beth watched part of conference and is reading the Book of Mormon!
- We picked up a new investigator. Bill from Ireland. He said he doesn't want to know about all that intellectual stuff. He wants to know about the Spirit.
- 3 new investigators in one day. So thankful! We need people to teach.
- Prayed for service opportunities and then Bro. Reinarz called us and asked us if we would be willing to do service at the hospital he works at.
- Hot fudge sundaes from McDonald's. It reminded me of late night McDonald's runs with Sarah Janice West. (Who by the way hasn't written me about her WEDDING! Cough cough. Sarah I hope you're reading this.)
- When we showed up to teach Bill the second time, He had Elder Nelson's talk up on his computer. "Ask the Missionaries! They Can Help You!" Haha he says we can do more than Home Depot.
- Contacted Mark whose house number is 1111. I told him how magical that is and that I wish I lived in at 1111.
